Ahh, it is nice to be clean shaven again! Since Movember is over, I am returning to my clean shaven self again... well, as most as I can be. I was blessed with incredible beard growing abilities and usually by afternoon, I need another shave again to be truly "clean shaven". You'd think that would be my demi-god ability but no, you should see the men in my mortal family. It's insane. I think I grew a better beard than Ari anyway. :P

But it is nice to not be mistaken for a terrorist or get yelled at in Arabic randomly by taxi drivers. Now it is back to being mistaken for Italian. I'm sure there is some sort of social commentary in there.

I've decided this holiday season, in honor of the community service I have to complete, I am going to donate to a lot of charities. Like, we don't need a big screen TV. I might as well donate it to a family that does need it. I also think I will donate to Toys for Tots. Two months of activism. I'm sure the priest at our church will be happy. Although, I don't know what he would think to think one of his parishioners is the child of a pagan god. Oh well, can't win them all. Of course, to Huey Freeman, a great scholar of pagan holidays, indicates Christmas is a pagan holiday anyway

Even so... I am still a fan of Christmas. Brady, Ari, I say we should fit a tree in here somehow.

And oh man, I have to do Christmas shopping. I HATE shopping, especially this time of year.

Was there a whole point to the no shave November thing, like a charity or something, or was it just an excuse for guys to be lazy? it's like that Tom's shoes thing that happens sometimes -- awesome excuse to walk around barefoot all the time. I can get behind anything that lets people be lazy.

I would feel bad for your Christmas shopping thing but people stopped expecting shit from me a while ago so I don't have to even bother anymore.

It was to raise awareness for man cancers. But also, yes, an excuse to be lazy.

Although I do miss stroking my beard.

Community service is the worst depending on what they make you do. Though...do you have a backup TV for the one you're deciding to give away?

Ah, it is just at a soup kitchen. It's not so bad really.

And yeah, we do have a back up. Don't get the sin Greed when you have portals AND klepto-

Soup kitchen, huh? Won't be relying on those for a while. My pride would not like for me to be seen at one by people I know. That's great community service. They provide a really valuable service to the community, and you get to interact with people who are really thankful.

It is. Although if you don't want to lose the ability of your equipment, you should take a trip to the Magic Guild. Just don't make a deal with Baron Samedi or Hecate.

I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. So deals with Baron Samedi & Hecate are bad?

[info]wingedreporter
2011-12-03 08:22 pm UTC (link)
Yes. They will screw you over. So I heard. Sometimes with the Baron "screw you" is literal. So I heard.

[info]returnee

So... are they kinda like cheats? Or the deals are just really bad? And with this information, I plan to stay far, far away from the Baron, because that doesn't sound good.

Avoid the crossroads. That is where both Hecate and the Baron take their domain.
