You know it's Friday when you and your co-worker friend (who does international Asian Politics) spend the afternoon giggling over just how UNPHOTOGENIC Kim Jong Un is.

Granted, Kim Jong-il was not the most photogenic of people. After all, we have the wonderful Kim Jong-il looking at things

But consider this for a moment:

It started early. Wow, I would be suspicious of a potential tyrant when you have an older brother who is mildly attractive in comparison.

You know, he is not unphotogenic because of his weight but it certainly does help.

Yeah, he really looks confident and knows what he's doing as he gets into that tank.

Well, he has a lot to live up to and the fact that his older brother was well liked and better looking, I am sure he has a huge complex.

Like the Asad family (Bashar Asad is another we like to mock because he looks like an elf and he deserves it)

Current president is second from the left. He's the tall, awkward one with weird ears. I am sure his brothers probably mocked him which molded him to the dictator he is today.

I don't know much about North Korea to make a great guess but my guess with a society like NoKo in which you now have a couple generations who grew up with the belief the Kim family is your "Dear Leader" then they first have to deprogram. But unfortunately, while the internet helped bring about the Arab Spring because it exposed a younger generation to other tales being told outside the government, NoKo is even more closed off than that. I doubt the people of NoKo have the capability to think for themselves anymore not to mention people drop dead of starvation.

I mean, look at the older son. He went abroad and realized how much of a better deal they had so didn't want to come back and no doubt he lives in privilege!
